This Privacy Policy describes the policies and procedures of DailyTube ("the App," "we," "us," or "our") regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of information when you use the App. The App is developed by Leonie Becker ("Developer"). DailyTube is fundamentally an offline, local media player that does not require user accounts and does not host any user-generated content. However, when you use the App, certain data may be collected through the following channels:

2.1 Data Collected by the App Itself

To identify, diagnose, and resolve technical issues, crashes, and errors in order to improve the App's stability and performance.

Important: The App does not have access to the content of your media files beyond basic metadata (such as file names, formats, and durations) necessary for playback and sorting. All media files remain stored locally on your device and are never uploaded to any server. The "Smart Order local media" feature operates entirely on-device by analyzing locally available metadata to suggest a playback order based on the mood you select. No media content or analysis results leave your device.

2.2 Data Collected by Third-Party SDKs

The App integrates certain third-party software development kits (SDKs) for advertising, analytics, and attribution purposes. These SDKs may automatically collect certain information about you and your device.

Data Types Collected by Third-Party SDKs

The third-party SDKs integrated into DailyTube may collect the following categories of data:

Device Identifiers: IDFA (Identifier for Advertisers on iOS), IDFV (Identifier for Vendors on iOS), IP address, and other device-level identifiers
Advertising Data: Advertising ID, ad interaction data, ad view data
Usage Data: App launch events, session duration, feature usage patterns, crash logs, and diagnostic information
Device Information: Device model, operating system version, screen resolution, language settings, network type, and mobile carrier information
Attribution Data: Install source, campaign parameters, and conversion data

2.3 Cookies

This App does not use these "cookies" explicitly. However, the App may use third-party code and libraries (such as the SDKs listed in Section 2.2) that use cookies or similar technologies to collect information and improve their services. You have the option to either accept or refuse these third-party cookies through your device settings. If you choose to refuse them, you may not be able to use some portions of this App.

3. How We Use Your Information

3.1 App-Level Use

All data related to the App's core functionality (media playback, Smart Order settings, user preferences) is processed and stored locally on your device only.

The data collected by third-party SDKs is used by those third parties in accordance with their respective privacy policies and for the purposes described in Section 2.2 above. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of these third-party providers:

Third-Party Service Providers: As described in Section 2.2, the App integrates third-party SDKs that may collect and process data independently. These third parties act as independent data controllers for the data they collect through their SDKs. The collection, use, and sharing of your data by these third parties are governed by their respective privacy policies, not by this Privacy Policy.

Legal Compliance: We may disclose information if required to do so by law or in response to valid legal requests by public authorities (e.g., a court or government agency).

Business Transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of all or a portion of our assets, information held by third-party SDK providers may be among the assets transferred.

DailyTube is not directed to children under the age of 16 (or the applicable age of digital consent in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. 6.3 Opting Out of Personalized Advertising

You can limit ad tracking or opt out of personalized advertising through your device settings:

iOS Devices: Go to Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking and disable "Allow Apps to Request to Track." You can also go to Settings > Privacy & Security > Apple Advertising and disable "Personalized Ads."
General: Reset your Advertising Identifier by going to Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking > Reset Advertising Identifier.

Please note that opting out of personalized advertising does not mean you will stop seeing ads; rather, the ads you see may be less relevant to you.

7. Data Retention and Security

7.1 Data Retention

The Developer does not retain any personal data on its own servers. The information that I request will be retained on your device. Any app settings or preferences are stored locally on your device and are deleted when you uninstall the App. Third-party SDK providers retain data in accordance with their respective privacy policies and data retention practices.

7.2 Data Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your information. However, no method of electronic storage or transmission over the Internet is 100% secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

All media files accessed by DailyTube remain stored locally on your device and are protected by the security features inherent to your device’s operating system.

8. No Account System, UGC, or In-App Purchases

Please note the following important facts about DailyTube:

No Account System: DailyTube does not require or allow users to create accounts. There is no registration, login, or user profile functionality.
No User-Generated Content (UGC): The App does not host, store, or transmit any user-generated content.
No In-App Purchases or Subscriptions: DailyTube does not offer any in-app purchases or subscription services.

9. International Data Transfers

The third-party SDKs integrated into the App may process data in countries other than your country of residence. These countries may have data protection laws that differ from those in your jurisdiction. By using the App, you acknowledge that third-party SDK providers may transfer and process data across international borders in accordance with their respective privacy policies.

10. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make changes, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy. We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes. Continued use of the App after any modifications constitutes your acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy.
