Privacy Policy

Last Updated: May 26, 2026

1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy describes the policies and procedures of DailyTube ("the App," "we," "us," or "our") regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of information when you use the App. The App is developed by Leonie Becker ("Developer"). We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring that your personal information is handled responsibly.

Please read this Privacy Policy carefully before using DailyTube. By installing or using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. If you are under the age of 16 (or the applicable age of digital consent in your jurisdiction), you are not permitted to use the App without parental or guardian consent.

2. Information We Collect

DailyTube is fundamentally an offline, local media player that does not require user accounts and does not host any user-generated content. However, when you use the App, certain data may be collected through the following channels:

2.1 Data Collected by the App Itself

Category Description Purpose
Local Media Access The App requires access to media files (audio/video) stored on your device. To enable core functionality: playback of local media files and Smart Order sorting based on your selected mood.
App Settings & Preferences Locally stored preferences such as your preferred sorting mode, playback settings, and mood selections. To provide a personalized experience within the App.
Log Data(via Third-Party Products) When you use the App and an error occurs, we collect log data through third-party products integrated into the App. This log data may include your device's Internet Protocol ("IP") address, device name, operating system version, the configuration of the App when utilizing our Service, the time and date of your use of the Service, and other statistics. To identify, diagnose, and resolve technical issues, crashes, and errors in order to improve the App's stability and performance.

Important: The App does not have access to the content of your media files beyond basic metadata (such as file names, formats, and durations) necessary for playback and sorting. All media files remain stored locally on your device and are never uploaded to any server. The "Smart Order local media" feature operates entirely on-device by analyzing locally available metadata to suggest a playback order based on the mood you select. No media content or analysis results leave your device.

2.2 Data Collected by Third-Party SDKs

The App integrates certain third-party software development kits (SDKs) for advertising, analytics, and attribution purposes. These SDKs may automatically collect certain information about you and your device.
